He’s often used this knowledge to the advantage of King Arthur’s kingdom, helping to form the most dominant dynasty of the First Dark Age.
History + Origin
Little is known about Merlin and his upbringing, other than the fact he’s been King Arthur’s primary advisor for the vast majority of the King’s life.
Some whispers around Camelot say Merlin is as old as time, others suggest he’s simply a man. What is known for sure, however, is that Merlin has seen that which cannot be seen. He’s fought those beings few have the courage to fight. He’s won battles few are fortunate enough to win.
If you ask Merlin for a story about his adventures, maybe he’ll tell you about the time his magics accidentally teleported him right to Bruggoth’s doorstep. Or maybe he’ll tell you the tale of how he used his enchantments to make Arthur’s fabled sword.
Merlin says he’s from this Plane of Existence, but all signs suggest that he’s not.
