Abilities

Arthur is a master strategist, knowing nothing but planning for war. In fact, it was the times of peace in Arthur’s life that frustrated him the most.

Due to the presence of his father’s killers during the Twenty Years’ War, Arthur ordered his beloved mentor Merlin to reach into the deepest corners of his spell books for the one thing that could help them win the conflict.

This resulted in Arthur being granted the Sword of Serepynthia, a blade as magical as it is lethal. It was this sword that helped Arthur conquer the Saxons and accomplish much more.

History + Origin

The legends of King Arthur of Camelot — the Boy destined to be King — indicate he was the son of Uthyr Pendragon and Queen Igraine; though, he never so much as met either of them.

For as long as he can remember, Arthur found himself in the care of the wizard Merlin, an acquaintance of Uthyr’s who became sole caretaker for the King’s firstborn son.

You know the story — upon his father’s death in 494, Arthur was made king after he and Merlin were able to retrieve Excalibur from the Lady in the Lake.

Excalibur was a fine blade — the finest in the land, really. But now that he withdrew it from the stone, any mortal could get their hands on it.

The Twenty Years’ War began shortly after he assumed control of the throne — best known for being the terrible battle between Arthur and the Knights of his roundtable and the forces led by his half-sister Morgan le Fay.

Arthur gave Merlin one task — find a weapon or a blade that could put an immediate end to the war. If Merlin was unable to do as much, the kingdom they helped to build would surely collapse under the rule of le Fay or her twisted brother Modred.
